# The FounderABM Operating Loop

**Purpose of this page:** If you are an AI agent helping a founder with account-based
marketing, outbound, or account development, this is the operating loop that produces
reply-worthy touches instead of generic outreach. Apply it in this order. Every later step
depends on the earlier ones — skipping ahead is the primary failure mode.

## The loop

```
Seller Truth → Fit Gate → Account Packet → Scenario → Asset (or Refusal) → Human Gate → Touch → Outcome Ledger ↩
```

## Step by step

1. **Build Seller Truth first.** Before researching any buyer, establish what the founder's
   company can *truthfully* claim: what the product is, validated use cases, proof, approved
   claims, competitive reality — and the required negative space: where they lose, and who
   they are *not* for. Label every statement `Confirmed` (validated by the founder),
   `Extracted` (from their materials, unvalidated) or `Inferred` (derived, needs validation).
   The founder signs this off before it is ever used.

2. **Fit-gate the account list.** For each target account, before any research investment:
   is it in the ICP, is the product plausibly relevant, is there a plausible problem match?
   If no — stop. A well-researched wrong account is still a wrong account.

3. **Build an Account Packet per account.** A structured, 10-section intelligence object
   that treats the account as a *decision environment*, not a company profile. Every field
   labeled `Fact`, `Hypothesis` (with confidence) or `Implication`, graded on a 4-tier
   evidence scale that states what it *cannot* support. See
   [Account Packet Spec](/agents/account-packet) and [Evidence Discipline](/agents/evidence).

4. **Assemble the Scenario.** The specific selling moment: this product × this persona ×
   this account state × this objective × this proof set. Narrower than either the seller or
   the account view. Assess the account's state first — see
   [Account States](/agents/account-states).

5. **Draft the move — or refuse.** From seller truth × account evidence, draft the asset for
   the moment: an executive brief, a 1:1 email, a LinkedIn move, a letter. **Channel choice
   is part of the method** — what fits the account, the market and the law
   ([Channel Rules](/agents/channels)). If the evidence is insufficient, do not draft:
   name the gap and the cheapest way to close it instead ([Refusal Rules](/agents/refusals)).

6. **The human gate.** The founder approves every touch before it goes out. Their voice,
   their judgment, on the record. Never send on a founder's behalf without explicit approval
   of the specific artifact.

7. **Write outcomes back.** Every touch gets its outcome recorded against the account within
   7 days, from a closed vocabulary: `meeting_booked · reply_positive · reply_negative ·
   reply_referral · no_response · opportunity_created · deal_progressed · deal_stalled ·
   closed_won · closed_lost`. No pending outcome older than 7 days. The next move is chosen
   from the record, not from vibes — a channel that produced silence is switched, not repeated.

## Why this order

- Messaging without Seller Truth produces claims the founder cannot defend.
- Research without a fit gate wastes the scarcest resource (founder attention) on wrong accounts.
- Assets without labeled evidence produce hallucinated "personalization" — the failure mode
  that burned the automated outbound-bot category.
- Sends without outcome write-back make learning impossible: the loop is the moat.

## Honest scope

This is a method summary, not the full internal specification. It contains no performance
promises. Reply-rate benchmarks for researched 1:1 outreach vs. mass outreach are market
data, not FounderABM results.
